CALL FOR PAPERS
Proposals for Paper Presentations in the given Speaker Proposal form are invited, dealing with the any of the sub-themes listed below or any other aspect of the study of English Literature.

Main Theme: ENGLISH LITERARY STUDIES: CURRENT TRENDS AND CONCURRENT CHALLENGES.

Both the Abstract and the full paper are to be sent as MSWord documents in Times New Roman font of 12 points and 1.5 line spacing.

The abstract , which should not be in more than 200 words should first be sent as an email attachment along with Speaker Proposal form. On acceptance of the proposal, the full paper too (1000 words) must be sent along with the a brief CV of the presenter/presenters only as an email attachment.

Both the abstract and later the full paper should be sent to jojilal@gmail.com with copies to eltaitbakc@gmail.com and zoowasif@gmail.com


Deadline for Submission of Abstracts: 31 May 2012.

Paper presenters and also their co-paper presenters, if any, should pay rhe Registration fee on the acceptance of their proposals. Only then their paper presentations will be included in the Conference Schedule.

Last date for Submission of full papers: 31 July 2012.

How to reach The College
Kilakarai is situated on the ECR, 16 km from Ramanathapuram which is 112 km from Madurai
There are two Express trains from Chennai Egmore station to to Rameswaram via Ramanathapuram. There is direct bus service from Ramanathapuram, to Kilakarai. Moreover all buses from Ramanathapuram to Thiruchendur, Erwadi and Tirunelveli will bring you to us Get down at the Erwadi junction and it is a matter of few minutes walk.

Hostel Accommodation. (For Women teachers only)
Only rooms with 4 beds / 8 beds(Double Decker) are available.
A flat rate of Rs.700 each (bed, breakfast and dinner inclusive) will be charged for stay in the Hostel irrespective of the number of days of actual stay during the period of the conference.
Reservation will be made only if the entire amount is paid in advance by DD drawn in favour of 'The Conference Secretary', TBAK College'
Since only a limited number of rooms is available, reservation will be made on 'First come, first served' basis.
Advance is refundable only if notice of cancellation is given at least five days in advance from the commencement of the conference.

Hotel Accommodation
There are a number of good hotels at Ramanathapuram, which is about 45 minutes' journey by road to the conference venue. Reservation, tariff and other details are given in our conference website www.eltai-tbakc.org Teachers are requested to contact the hotels directly for reservation.
 

Places of interest
Kilakarai is an ancient coastal town and a port, located in the southern Tamil Nadu. It was a flourishing sea port and a gateway to places as far as Madurai till the early 20th century. Kilakarai lighthouse is a wonderful place worth visiting in all seasons. Jumma Masjid (The great philanthropist of the last century Vallal Seethakathi is interred here) at Kilakarai, It has one of the oldest Mosques in Tamil Nadu and has unique Islamic heritage more than 1,000 year old.
Another place worth visiting is 'Sethu Karai' associated with Ramayana.
There is also nearby the famous temple of Lord Nataraja at Uttharakosamangai associated with the great Saivaite saint Manickavasagar..

Rameswaram, the famous pilgrim town, is only about two hours' journey by road from Kilakarai.
